This painting is part of a series that I made during my pregnancy with my daughter, Gwendolyn and was shown at Impact Coffee in Decorah, IA the summer of 2023.
My inspiration was to explore and celebrate the improvisational asymmetries embodied by my garden. This "September Bouquet" painting was specifically inspired by an arrangement made by a local flower farm, Oak and Olive Flowers.
The painting was made on reclaimed wood and finished with a protective, archival varnish.
