My process for making this piece was very intuitive. I started cutting the image on the left hand bottom corner without any idea what the final piece would be. No pattern, simply letting the words and images come as I slowly cut the image. My motto is “No mistakes!” Once a cut has been made it is the perfect addition.

After my hand-cut paper prototype was created I made polymer plates of the image and printed them on a Vandercook Universal 1 in Athens, Georgia with Smokey Road Press.
