Anemone, Geranium, and Phlox

Mixed media- acrylic paint and carving on recycled oak board.

This carved painting was inspired by a bouquet I created from my garden in late May.

7 1/4” x 10 5/8” x 3/4”

My process began by layering gesso on an oak board. I then made and observational drawing with my carving tool. After the initial carving was done I layered paint and carving until the painting was finished.

All of my paintings are finished with an archival varnish to ensure longevity.

I recommend putting the painting in a space without direct sunlight to ensure color preservation.
