This piece is from a series abstract drawings I made while living in Charlottesville, VA. I was reflecting on my relationship to community and playing with new media. My process involves a lot of layers, often beginning with a simple pattern and then intuitively layering onto the design that emerges until the final image begins to show itself. The process is very healing and joyful—I never know what a final image will look like when I begin!
