Custom Wedding Anniversary / Family / Baby Birthday Carving

Commemorate your wedding, give a gift to a couple you’re celebrating, or honor the birth of a new child in your life! I make custom wedding, name, and family wood-engraved images, including the couple or family name, with botanical elements that reflect your vision. I’ve made images that include flowers significant to the family, or taken inspiration from the bride’s bouquet, creating a timeless image of the unique arrangement of flowers she held in her hands on that special day.

These mixed media pieces feature acrylic paint and carving on hardwood boards. My process begins by layering gesso on an oak board. I then make an observational drawing with my carving tool. After the initial carving was done I layer paint and carving until the painting is finished. All of my paintings are finished with an archival varnish to ensure longevity.I recommend putting the painting in a space without direct sunlight to ensure color preservation.

Finished pieces are approximately 5.5” by 12” (rectangle) or 7.5” x 7.5” (square) and are between ¾” and 1” thick. The size may vary slightly due to the uniqueness of each piece of wood and the requirements of your specific design.

When checking out, use the “Notes and Instructions” box to describe what you’d like to see on your finished piece. Be sure to include:

Your email address. I’ll send you a sketch with the final painting before I get started to make sure everything looks okay. One round of revisions is included.
Your text. Place your preferred text in “quotes,” and make sure to spell it exactly how you’d like it to read. This could include the family’s last name, the couple’s names and wedding date, or the name and birthday of the child. Maximum of around 70 characters.
